Our latest innovation is a floating cellar on the Seine river. We invite you to become the owner of your own customized cask of cognac or rum aged on board Barge 166.
Barge 166 is a Freycinet barge built in 1948, typical of transport vessels in the Paris region
Maison Ferrand completely restored the historic boat and designed a unique ageing cellar in its hold, equipped with custom racks for 1,500 30-liter casks filled with our own cognacs and rums to be customized by Private Cask Owners.

Margaux Lespinasse
Private Cask Manager and guardian of the cellar, Margaux is the captain of the boat. She will confirm your preferences as well as offer surprises as she guides you along your journey. You’ll select your own spirit, follow it throughout its maturation on the water and decide when to bottle it.

Owner and Master Blender of Maison Ferrand and innovator-in-chief. Since 1989, Alexandre has revived and reimagined centuries-old ageing methods to create new experiences

On board Barge 166, we offer Private Cask Owners the unique opportunity to customize their own fine spirit expression. You will be appointed cellar master selecting, refining and finally bottling a 30-liter cask of your tailor-made spirit, according to your personal tastes.
